Overview

Located in the heart of Beach Haven, Triton Craft Beer and Oyster Bar offers a vibrant coastal dining experience that seamlessly blends fresh seafood with an impressive craft beer selection. This oyster bar stands out not just for its prime location at 308 Centre St, but for its crafted menu that highlights the ocean’s best — oysters, clams, mussels, and peel-and-eat shrimp, all served with care and a dose of local flair.

The draw here is unmistakably the seafood. Oysters and clams arrive fresh, vibrant, and perfectly chilled, ideal companions for the rotating taps that include regional favorites like Aloha Friday, Florida Cracker, and the playful “I Ain’t Afraid Of No Bulls!” For those who enjoy variety, the beer flight offers a curated journey through hop-forward brews and subtle, refreshing ales. Crab and lobster enthusiasts will appreciate offerings like the Seafood Tower and Lobster Avocado Salad, which balance richness with fresh, light accents.

Regulars praise the fried clam strips as some of the best around—achieving the delicate balance of crisp exterior and tender, sweet interior. Peel-and-eat shrimp come with a kick of Cajun seasoning, leaving a lingering aroma that complements the communal, beach-bar atmosphere. The lobster roll, though functioning as a hearty entrée with generous lobster meat, invites a tweak to the bun’s toastiness to match its buttery richness.

Triton’s space is bright and modern, designed for casual yet lively gatherings. The family-style table arrangement encourages shared moments, though it can challenge those searching for a quiet corner. The no-frills ordering system—placing your order at the counter and receiving it at the table—fits well with the relaxed setting, making it ideal for friends and families looking to unwind over quality food and drink.

Targeted toward craft beer lovers and seafood aficionados, Triton balances a laid-back beach vibe with sophisticated flavors. The attentive staff accentuates the experience, ensuring that despite the place’s popularity, service remains personable and efficient. Happy hour, especially, draws a dedicated crowd eager to sample the raw bar paired with well-selected craft brews.

In sum, Triton Craft Beer and Oyster Bar is a must-visit for those who appreciate fresh, thoughtfully prepared seafood accompanied by an extensive local beer selection. It’s a place that captures the essence of the Jersey Shore’s culinary landscape — a mixture of bold flavors, community spirit, and a touch of ocean breeze.

Is it overpriced? Well, yeah, but what isn’t in LBI? I’ve never seen a $6.75 oyster before. Eye opening. That said, man it’s good and I can’t wait to go back. So - on to the good news. Without a doubt the best fried clam strips I’ve ever had. And, I’ve eaten my fair share of them strips. These were tender, sweet and perfectly breaded. Somehow amazingly crispy while being incredibly light. Really really good. We also got a lobster roll and I do have some comments there. Tons of lobster, no mayo. None of those stupid vegetables. Celery? Nope. Onion? Nah. Just lobster, butter and a waft of chive just to add some color I guess. But the roll was ginormous. And untoasted. Who does that? Butter that baby up and get some crisp and it would be out of the ballpark. It was already a beautiful huge brioche roll with more than enough butter already. Anyway - lobster great, bread just too girthy and not toasted enough. Peel and eat shrimp excellent. Definitely get the spicy - their Cajun seasoning is awesome and your fingers will retain that smell for weeks. In a good way. Craft beer menu was full of local and regional selections. Quite impressive. Definitely will be putting aside a paycheck (or two) and will be back.

Great place to try good variety of beer and raw bar. The store/bar is bright and modern. This place has the biggest choice of craft beer (on tap) on the island, but really worth it during their Happy Hour (daily 3-6). The clams/oysters are fresh. Their mussels are fresh and excellent as well. (Red sauce is our favorite) pizzas are decent and the shrimp tacos are pretty good too The staff is very nice and hard working. This has become our staple place for happy hour l. Highly recommended

Alright, this place is awesome. Their happy hour is out of this world for oysters and clams on the half shell. Pair that with a massive array of taps and I'm sold. I ordered 3 clams and 3 oysters on the half shell paired with a Jersey Devil IIPA. Great atmosphere, no televisions (great!) awesome music and super staff. Going back there ASAP.

Excellent food! High recommend the frozen espresso martini! That was amazing! Oysters are good but a little pricey. Peel and eat shrimp was excellent as well. Those come plain or spicy. Fried clams were mainly breading, not much meat to it but that is my only real compliant. The atmosphere is different for sure. You go up and order, get a number and they bring your food out to you table. It can be challenging to find a spot because the tables are laid out family style. Don’t let that deter you. The food and drinks are great!
